Al-Ula Date Festival enters its seventh edition

The Royal Commission for Al-Ula launched the seventh edition of the Al-Ula Dates Season as part of the 2026-2027 agricultural "Khayrat Al-Ula" Season. The event includes activities such as the dates auction in Al-Faris Village and the farmers' market in Al-Manshiyya. The season aims to showcase the local date varieties produced in Al-Ula, where the date palm history dates back to the first millennium BC. There are more than 4.2 million palm trees spread over an agricultural area of 16,484 hectares, producing approximately 130,000 tons annually. The date varieties include Berani, Anbara, Safawi, Red, and Majdool, highlighting the importance of agriculture in Al-Ula's heritage and its agricultural wealth.
