SoftBank seeks $11bn for OpenAI investments

SoftBank Group is aiming to raise more than $11 billion through the issuance of high-yield bonds, in order to fund its investment in OpenAI, a company specializing in artificial intelligence, in which the firm plans to increase its stake. The plans include issuing $10 billion in dollar bonds across three maturities and €1 billion in euro bonds divided over two tenors. part of the proceeds will be used for additional investments expected to be finalized next month. SoftBank is one of the largest investors in artificial intelligence, tying its financial prospects to returns from its investments in OpenAI, which has committed to investing around $65 billion in the company.
