The Dubai Cybersecurity Center has developed an artificial intelligence model called "Surrab" capable of detecting fake videos utilizing deepfakes technology with an accuracy of up to 91%. "Surrab" was entirely developed by an Emirati team and is the first open-source deepfake detection model in the Arab region. It was officially launched in September 2026 during the "GISEC Global 2026" event.
