The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia, Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, confirmed that the Kingdom has implemented 97% of its labor market strategy, which aims to localize jobs and increase Saudis’ participation in the market. The number of Saudi workers has risen from 1.7 million five years ago to 2.7 million now. Additionally, female participation in the labor market has improved from 17% to approximately 37%, with a new goal to raise it to 40%. The ministry is focused on developing national skills through legislation and training initiatives, including the establishment of the Skills and Training Agency, the creation of 16 sector councils, and the launch of a Saudi Skills Guide covering more than 2,000 professions. These initiatives aim to transfer knowledge and expertise through mentorship and training programs, along with the launch of a national training campaign that provides over 4 million training opportunities.
