Sharjah Electricity secures 2026 Asian Digital Award
Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority achieved a significant institutional milestone by winning the Best Energy Facility in Digital Transformation Award at the Asia Energy Awards 2026 for the second consecutive year. This success results from implementing digital transformation strategies that included completing more than 735,000 transactions through its smart services, increasing the digital transformation rate in customer service management to 95%, and reaching approximately 90% automation in some processes. These efforts helped reduce the completion time for certain services from 60 days to just one minute, decreased the need for paperwork, and resulted in over 1.3 million visits to service centers since August 2023.
