MI5 chief warns of rise in rightwing terror

MI5 has warned that right-wing extremists in the UK are increasingly likely to consider carrying out terrorist attacks against migrants and asylum centers, driven by anti-immigration and anti-Muslim views. The agency reports a shift from radical beliefs to violence, with a rise in cases involving extremist intent, particularly among young people, including investigations into a 13-year-old radicalized individual. The threat update also highlighted ongoing hostile activities by Iran and Russia, as well as concerns over terrorists using AI to develop bioweapons.
