Biles shares reason for brief pre-game greeting
Simone Biles revealed she temporarily stopped performing a pre-game handshake with her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, because his football gloves caused discomfort and damaged her fingers and nails. The couple developed the handshake three seasons ago as a good-luck ritual, but Owens began removing his gloves to avoid hurting her, allowing them to resume their tradition. Despite the interruption, the handshake remains a meaningful part of their relationship, often seen during Owens' games.
