Beatles Manager Epstein's Tragic Death
Gary Kemp purchased an address book belonging to Beatles manager Brian Epstein, which detailed contacts from 1967 and provided an intimate glimpse into his life. Kemp and Simon Halfon used the book to create "1967: The World of Brian Epstein and the Beatles," revealing Epstein’s personal struggles, including his mental health, drug use, and loneliness amid his professional success. The book highlights Epstein’s complex character and his central role in the 1960s music scene, while the Beatles themselves are notably absent from the contact list.
