UK hospitality to create 100,000 jobs

The UK hospitality sector plans to create up to 100,000 jobs for young people aged 18 to 24 who are out of work, through a scheme supported by the Department for Work and Pensions. The initiative aims to help Neets gain skills and confidence with placements lasting up to four weeks, in efforts to address rising youth unemployment and prevent more young people from being disconnected from education or work. The scheme follows warnings from a report predicting that youth unemployment could increase significantly if government intervention is not implemented.
