Council housing miracle wins award

The article highlights the winning of the RIBA Stirling Prize by Lion Green Road in Croydon, recognized as the best new building in the UK. Despite initial objections and a tight budget, the development exemplifies council-led, well-designed housing, contrasting with typical suburban models and standing as a rare example of exemplary council housing in the UK.
