Wes Streeting urges US support for Ukraine

Wes Streeting, the UK Defence Secretary, emphasized the importance of US support for Ukraine during his visit to Washington, amid tensions over the US decision to restrict Starlink satellite internet access used by Ukraine’s military. He was reassured by his US counterpart that the system’s access has been restored, but concerns remain over recent disruptions which affected Ukraine’s military operations. Streeting highlighted that supporting Ukraine aligns with both long-term US interests and business opportunities and urged close UK-US cooperation to sustain Ukraine’s defense efforts.
