British man fined €3,000 over son's death
A British man has been fined €3,000 in Cyprus after his two-year-old son fell to his death from a hotel window during their holiday. The man pleaded guilty to causing death through a reckless act, with the court ruling he would not be jailed, citing the lack of intent to kill. The incident occurred at a hotel in Paphos shortly after the family’s arrival, and the man, overwhelmed with grief, was allowed to retrieve his documents to return to the UK.
