Mamdani urges Arsenal to reconsider UAE ties over Sudan

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, a passionate Arsenal supporter, is known for his support of human rights and opposition to genocide. His admiration for the team contrasts with Arsenal's sponsorship deal with Emirates Airlines, owned by the UAE, which funds a campaign supporting a militia involved in the Sudanese conflict and humanitarian crisis. Mamdani could leverage his influence to urge Arsenal to sever ties with the UAE, potentially impacting the country's sportswashing efforts and addressing the ongoing atrocities in Sudan.
