Princess Lalla Asmae unveils hearing aid program
Princess Lalla Asma Foundation launched the "Hearing Aids for All" program in Morocco with the goal of providing free hearing devices to individuals in vulnerable situations, especially deaf and hard-of-hearing children. The program includes cochlear implant surgeries, follow-up services, and ongoing support, along with cooperation agreements signed with official entities to ensure expanded access to hearing diagnosis and treatment services across the kingdom. Since the program's launch in 2022, 950 cochlear implant surgeries have been performed for 950 Moroccan children, as well as for 368 children from 22 other countries.
