Oil Minister: Basra-Haditha pipeline soon operational

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has announced that the strategic pipeline from Basra to Haditha is nearing reoperation after completing rehabilitation and inspection work, aiming to enhance oil export capabilities and direct larger quantities from the southern fields northward through the pipeline. The ministry also signed a contract to rehabilitate the Pump Station (PS3) to increase export flexibility. It confirmed the existence of an agreement with Turkey to export between 500,000 and 750,000 barrels per day via the Ceyhan port. The ministry indicated that achieving maximum export capacity depends on the availability of quantities and production stability, especially after the decline in Kurdistan Region's output. The Iraqi government is working on improving export capacities through contracts to transfer about 300,000 barrels daily from the south to the north via sea carriers as urgent solutions.
