Finance Minister Affirms Salaries are Fully Secure

Finance Minister Affirms Salaries are Fully Secure

The Minister of Finance, Falah Al-sari, confirmed that employees' salaries in Iraq are fully secured and that there are no plans to distribute salaries every 45 days as rumors suggest. He explained that the monthly salary expenses amount to approximately 7.7 trillion dinars, and he is working towards increasing pensions and salaries for lower grades, in addition to efforts to control expenditures and address inflation in costs. He also pointed out that the ministry targets major taxpayers and is working to expand the beneficiary base. There are outstanding financial obligations totaling 20 trillion dinars owed to the ministry, which are currently being addressed to organize them. Regarding the oil sector, he mentioned that the Saudi-Kuwaiti pipeline passes through the Red Sea with a capacity of up to two million barrels per day, and Iraq has the potential to participate in it.
