QatarEnergy prolongs force majeure over 29 gas shipments to Edison

QatarEnergy announced an extension of the force majeure that is affecting LNG supplies to Italian company Edison, due to concerns over the continued Iranian-American conflict. As a result of this situation, Qatar was unable to deliver 29 shipments of gas, amounting to approximately 3.8 billion cubic meters, which were scheduled between September and November. A long-term contract of 25 years binds the two companies, and Italy's share of gas imports accounts for around 10% of its annual consumption.
