Health Minister approves six categories for free coverage

Minister of Health, Abdul Hussein Al-Mawsawi, announced the inclusion of six categories and free diagnostic and treatment procedures within the healthcare insurance system, aiming to provide high-quality health services and ensure coverage for all societal segments, especially those with limited income. The free categories include kidney and liver transplantation for donors and recipients, brain catheterization procedures, open-heart surgery, as well as treatment for kidney failure patients and screening for cancer patients, all with the goal of reducing patients' financial burdens and improving the level of healthcare in Iraq.
