Dhi Qar Sets Up Two Reservoirs for Gas Support
The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced the beginning of the pilot operation of the storage capacity project at the Nasiriyah Gas Depot in Dhi Qar Governorate. The project includes two tanks with a total capacity of 5,000 cubic meters. Its aim is to enhance the LPG storage system and support the stability of gas distribution in the province, especially to meet the needs of citizens and economic activities. The site is equipped to handle between 300 and 400 tons of gas daily, covering the daily demand which ranges from 250 to 350 tons. Additionally, it contributes to supporting the cylinder filling activities at government and private factories, which produce approximately 25,000 to 30,000 cylinders daily. The project also elevates the quality of services provided to citizens for cooking gas and automotive gas. Officials emphasized the importance of completing all technical and safety requirements to achieve full and safe operation of the project, after reviewing the completed facilities, works, and technical preparations.
