Integrity captures fugitive embezzler in Wasit

The Federal Integrity Commission successfully recovered a fugitive convict from Lebanon, a 34-year-old woman involved in embezzling approximately 3.78 billion Iraqi dinars from the Wasit Health Directorate during her tenure. The Wasit Criminal Court sentenced her to life imprisonment in absentia and ordered her to return the stolen amounts after evidence, testimonies, and investigative data confirmed her involvement in the embezzlement. This achievement was made possible through international cooperation and coordination with Lebanese authorities, resulting in her arrest and extradition to Iraq via Interpol.
