European firms seek Baghdad Airport
A report revealed that 11 European airline companies have requested to operate flights to Baghdad International Airport. This comes as the German airline "Euro Wings," a subsidiary of Lufthansa Group, begins offering four direct flights weekly between Berlin and Baghdad. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Transport's efforts to enhance the position of Iraqi airports and expand the air connectivity network with global cities, with airlines committed to meeting the airport's technical and security standards. This move is seen as a sign of renewed confidence in Iraqi airports and the return of European carriers to operate in Baghdad.
