Najaf Airport staff protest salary review
Najaf Airport employees staged a protest against the review of the salary scale, expressing concerns about significant potential salary cuts. They demanded that their entitlements not be tampered with and called for their permanent employment status. The protesters also urged for a review of the privileges and allowances granted to senior positions, the establishment of clear job descriptions, and their formalization on the airport's official staff or the relevant authority to ensure job stability. They emphasized the importance of opening direct dialogue with the concerned parties, asserting that the resolution of the permanent employment and salary issues must be fair, suggesting that benefits should be reduced instead of decreasing wages.
