Finance Committee discusses salary disbursement objections

The Iraqi government has confirmed that it has launched a package of measures to address the financial crisis. However, Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi opposed a proposal to distribute employees' salaries every 45 days, citing the difficult economic situation and the decline in oil sales revenue. The measures include injecting $100 million into the market and issuing warnings about merchants exploiting the crisis to raise prices, along with calls to hold corrupt officials accountable and simplify procedures. The government emphasizes that these steps aim to protect financial and monetary stability amid current economic challenges.
