Ridaei warns US of historic defeats

The Secretary-General of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, sent a warning message to the United States, stating that the repetition of past defeats could occur again if the escalation continues. He pointed out that after its defeat by Iran in the region, America is trying to craft a narrative of a "clash of civilizations," recalling the historic moment of the Roman emperor’s humiliation before Shapur I of the Sassanid Empire. Rezaei warned that those who invoke history should be prepared for it to be repeated. This came at a time when U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that Washington rejects any unilateral attempts to control a vital maritime route. He emphasized the need to diversify global energy supplies and denied any disruption of navigation, announcing that Iran "has lost full control" over the strait.
