Agriculture cracks down on illegal goods

The Ministry of Agriculture highlighted its efforts in implementing quarantine procedures at border crossings to regulate imported goods. These measures include destroying or returning expired, non-compliant, or overdue products, in cooperation with the Border Authority and security agencies. All goods, especially food products, are thoroughly inspected to ensure that smuggled or illegal items do not enter the local market. Additionally, illegal processed meats are confiscated, violations in markets are monitored, and offenders are referred to the judiciary for appropriate legal action. These procedures aim to protect the local market from non-compliant products and to enforce strict oversight over import activities.
