Vinicius faces strict penalty for El Clásico absence

A significant suspension has been imposed on Vinicius Junior by the Spanish Competition Committee, including a four-match ban following his ejection during the match against Villarreal. The penalty stems from him pulling the defender Saliba's hair and engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct. As a result, he will miss the upcoming El Clásico against Barcelona scheduled for October 25, as well as matches against Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano, and Valencia. The club intends to appeal the decision in hopes of reducing the suspension, especially since he currently has four yellow cards and may face suspension from El Clásico if he receives another yellow against Sevilla. This penalty comes at a difficult time for Vinicius, who is experiencing a challenging spell technically, having scored one goal and provided three assists in nine matches this season — a performance that does not match his standing within the team.
