The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that 42 Iraqi universities, including universities in the Kurdistan Region, have been ranked among the QS Arab University Rankings for 2027 out of a total of 298 Arab universities included in the ranking. Baghdad University topped the list among Iraqi universities, followed by Al-Mustansiriya University, Anbar University, Al-Nahrain University, and Kufa University.
