Trump pauses arms exports amid munitions shortage

Regarding the ammunition shortage, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he has temporarily halted arms sales to allies until he replenishes his military arsenals, justifying this by the need to prioritize keeping ammunition for American use first. Trump accused his predecessor, Joe Biden, of supplying large quantities of weapons to Ukraine for free, indicating that the situation is different from supporting Iran. The decision comes amid the underperformance of U.S. ammunition stocks and aims to restore the United States' combat capacity before resuming arms exports to allies.
