Ankara to Receive 1000MW Support

The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity announced that it has officially contacted Turkey to import between 500 and 1,000 megawatts of electricity via the Turkish interconnection line, aiming to support the national grid and ensure stability of supply during the summer season. The contracts have been approved by the Council of Ministers, and the agreement is expected to be signed after determining the timeframe and unit price, with the Control Center responsible for allocating the shares among the provinces according to demand. This move is intended to secure energy during peak summer periods and strengthen the national electricity system.
