Durgam Majid Warns of Heightened Actions Over November 25 Protests

The Central Committee for Protest in Iraq is preparing to carry out demonstrations on October 25th, expressing that the continued government procrastination in addressing the people's demands may lead to an escalation of protest actions. The main demands include lowering the exchange rate of the dollar, abolishing taxes on citizens, confronting high prices, and canceling newly created positions such as deputy prime ministers and new ministries. The committee also calls for the prosecution of those responsible for killing protesters and holding corrupt profiteers accountable, rejecting policies of evading demands and suppressing voices calling for rights. It emphasizes that the escalation of protests depends on the government's response to the people's demands.
