Education approves third term and no fail year

The Iraqi Ministry of Education has approved the conduct of the third-term examinations for all completed levels, including students who have failed in all subjects in the fifth grade of primary school, the third intermediate grade, and the sixth preparatory grade, in order to provide new opportunities for education. Additionally, the 2025–2026 academic year has been designated as a no-failure year across all grades and levels, aimed at improving the educational situation and encouraging students to continue their studies without traditional punishments. The recommendation will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for final approval of these measures.
