Trump Urged Graham's Sister for Senate

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he has asked Darlene Graham, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, to run for the U.S. Senate seat from South Carolina in the upcoming Republican primary scheduled for August 11. Trump confirmed that Darlene will have his support because she will honor her brother's legacy, who passed away at the age of 71 due to a heart disease caused by arteriosclerosis. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster has been appointed to fill the vacant seat until early 2027, with a memorial service for the deceased set for July 28 and 29.
