Hawatt: Recent session confirms fragmented legislation

Alia Ziad Hawat criticizes in his article the recent legislation passed by the parliament, which includes laws with financial burdens amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars without thorough feasibility studies to cover these costs or assess their effectiveness. He links these policies to previous failures that have led to the ongoing economic collapse since 2017. He also warns against repeating past mistakes that caused the deterioration of the public sector, emphasizing the need to establish a clear plan with specific figures to improve the situation of employees and retirees, and avoiding reliance on random financial aid without addressing the root causes of the crisis.
