The Social Security Fund in Lebanon has issued updates to the procedures for granting prior approvals for bone marrow transplant procedures, aimed at ensuring the swift implementation of health decisions and facilitating patients’ access to treatment. Autograft cases now receive two prior approvals covering preparation and cell collection, while allograft procedures are granted a single approval that covers the entire process. The Director General also mentioned the issuance of decisions to provide financial advances totaling approximately 309 billion Lebanese pounds to hospitals and doctors, in order to enhance liquidity and ensure the continued provision of healthcare services to beneficiaries. Additionally, work systems are being updated and procedures simplified to improve Lebanon’s healthcare sector.
