Beirut Port Restored via French Partnership

Beirut Port and the Marseille Fos Port signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in trade and port operations, with the aim of modernizing and improving port performance and developing their strategic partnership. The agreement, which lasts for three years, includes boosting commercial flows, developing transportation and logistics services, and innovating initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, with a focus on connecting the region with Europe and new economic corridors. This initiative is part of Lebanon's efforts to rebuild and modernize its port infrastructure, supported by France and the CMA CGM Group, to strengthen Beirut Port’s position in the Mediterranean.
