Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rassemni laid the foundation stone for the expansion and maintenance project of the Kfarfalous – Karkha Road, and the Karkha – Bqasta Road. The aim is to improve connectivity between Jezzine and Sidon, reduce pressure on the roads, and enhance traffic safety and flow on this vital corridor. The project, which stretches approximately 12 kilometers, is designed to facilitate access to the Mar Yuhanna al-Muqaddas monastery, especially during religious seasons. Local, religious, and security officials participated in the inauguration, emphasizing the importance of roads as links that revitalize the economy and preserve local identity. Minister Rassemni affirmed that the government is working to rebuild the South despite the challenges, highlighting that projects are driven by need and developmental impact, with ongoing efforts to achieve balanced development across all Lebanese regions.
