Health begins second phase of child care program
The Lebanese Ministry of Health has launched the second phase of the Children’s Healthcare Support Project, aimed at saving and improving the lives of newborns and the most vulnerable children. The project is implemented in partnership with La chaîne de l'espoir and is supported by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO). In its first phase, the project covered the hospitalization of over 1,200 children across 12 hospitals throughout Lebanon, with expectations to increase the number of beneficiaries in the coming year despite challenging circumstances and limited resources. The Minister affirms that efforts continue to expand healthcare coverage without discrimination, alongside the ongoing need for greater humanitarian and medical support to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children.
