Ministry of Economy partners with Consumer Association on citizen complaints

The Lebanese Ministry of Economy held a meeting with the Consumer Association to enhance cooperation in receiving citizens' complaints about market violations, as part of the implementation of the new Consumer Protection Law, which increased fines for violators. It was agreed to activate a joint mechanism through the hotline (01750650) to quickly transfer complaints to the ministry, in addition to continuing to accept complaints via the electronic application to strengthen oversight and achieve a more effective response. The aim of this collaboration is to improve consumer protection and increase market surveillance amid challenging economic conditions.
