Economy Ministry Partners with Consumer Group on Citizens' Complaints

The Lebanese Ministry of Economy held a meeting with the Consumers' Association to strengthen cooperation and activate the mechanism for receiving citizens' complaints regarding commercial violations, with the aim of effectively implementing the new Consumer Protection Law. It was agreed to use the hotline (01750650) for reporting complaints and violations, which will be forwarded to the ministry for necessary action, in addition to continuing to receive complaints through the electronic application (MoET Digital Services). This collaboration aims to improve rapid and ongoing market oversight and consumer protection, especially in light of recent amendments that increased fines for violators, in order to enhance responsiveness and supervision within a national responsibility framework.
