UNIFIL Supports Army Strengthening

On the occasion of the 81st Lebanese Army Day, UNIFIL reaffirmed its commitment to support efforts to strengthen the presence of the Lebanese Army and to establish the authority of the State in Southern Lebanon. It noted that the long-standing cooperation between the two sides aims to achieve lasting security and stability in the region, and it continues to support the implementation of Resolution 1701 and the Tripartite Framework Agreement to ensure regional stability.
