Civil Defense Member Injured in Landmine Blast

A Lebanese Civil Defense member sustained minor injuries as a result of an explosion caused by an old landmine from war remnants in the Arz Tanourine Nature Reserve in Batroun, while extinguishing a small fire. The landmine was triggered when a stone fell on it, causing it to explode. The injured person was transported to the hospital for treatment. Civil Defense teams, in coordination with about ten centers and military helicopters, continue their efforts to extinguish the fire and control the flames, and operations are ongoing at the scene.
