Economy Ministry urges complaint reporting

The Ministry of Economy and Trade of Lebanon calls on citizens and consumers to file complaints regarding any violations they observe, either through its online application or via the Consumer Society's hotline. Since the beginning of the year, these efforts have led to a response to 925 complaints, the execution of 15,124 field inspections, and the issuance of 659 enforcement reports. Among these, decisions were made to suspend the circulation of 25 commercial establishments due to non-compliance of their products with standards, while four establishments were allowed to resume trading after it was confirmed that their products now meet the requirements. Additionally, 321 enforcement reports were directed at electrical generators, representing 49% of all seized items since the start of the year, reflecting ongoing market monitoring efforts to ensure consumer protection.
