President approves new Media Law

On August 28, 2026, President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, signed the Media Law, marking an important step in regulating the country's media sector. He also received at Baabda Palace Finance Minister Yassine Jaber and Banque du Liban Governor Raymond Sayegh to discuss financial issues, as well as to review the recently approved bank restructuring law by the Parliament. Additionally, he discussed advancements in organ transplantation and healthcare with Deputy Abdul Rahman Bazzari and Nadie Al-Hakim, President of the Organ Donation Association. In the framework of humanitarian initiatives, the Presidency of the Republic organized a blood donation campaign in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross, in which the President and several officials participated, under the supervision of Red Cross President Dr. Antoine Zoghbi and Secretary-General George Kettani.
