Qatar Energy Further Suspends Gas Supply to Edison
Qatar Energy has extended the suspension of LNG shipments to Italian company Edison until early November, due to force majeure caused by the Iran war. As a result, the number of shipments that could not be delivered has increased to 29 shipments, equivalent to 3.8 billion cubic meters of gas. Despite this, Edison confirmed its ability to provide alternatives for customers and fulfill its commercial commitments, having replaced 21 shipments of gas so far. Long-term contracts between Edison and Qatar Energy have been in place since 2009, including an annual supply of 6.4 billion cubic meters to Italy.
