This week, French authorities carried out an evacuation operation of 44 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, including threatened scholars and artists, as well as individuals authorized to benefit from the "PAUSE" program designated for the reception of scholars and artists in emergency situations. This operation took place amid ongoing Israeli breaches of the ceasefire in the sector. Since the outbreak of the conflict, France has continued its efforts to protect its citizens and their families, along with ongoing support for the program launched in 2017 and managed by the educational and research institution "Collège de France." This evacuation follows a temporary halt in reception programs since January, during which some beneficiaries requested a review of their applications to resume evacuation operations. Currently, there are still 73 beneficiaries in Gaza.
