The death toll from the floods in Nepal has risen to 626, with 2,426 people still missing, as a result of the floods that struck the country and triggered landslides along the border with China. China also reported the death of 7 people and the disappearance of 554 in the Tibet region. The Nepalese Finance Minister estimated that reconstruction would require between 4 and 5 billion dollars, as assessments of the damages and losses continue.
