Army pays tribute to Major General Riad Taqi Al-Din
Retired Brigadier General Riad Taqi al-Din, one of Lebanon's prominent army officers, passed away on August 29, 2026. Born in Aqqalin in 1938, he volunteered for the army in 1959 and was promoted to the rank of Brigadier in 1995. Throughout his military career, he received several medals and honors. His funeral will be held in the town of Baakline, and condolences may be offered at the house and residence, as well as at the Druze community house in Beirut.
