Karkhi: Frequent financial support for healthcare

The National Social Security Fund in Lebanon announced that it continues to make financial advances to hospitals and doctors on an almost weekly basis to cover the hospital bills of insured patients. On August 31, 2026, the Director General of the Fund issued three decisions to disburse approximately 154 billion Lebanese pounds for 2,458 hospital cases, bringing the total advances since the beginning of the year to about 4,238 billion Lebanese pounds (approximately 47 million dollars). The Fund is urging hospitals to expedite the processing of their transactions to ensure the continued coverage of healthcare and to achieve financial stability in the healthcare sector.
