August Airport Traffic Reaches Year High

Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut experienced a noticeable increase in passenger traffic during August 2026, recording the highest numbers since the beginning of the year, despite a 25.6% decrease compared to the same period last year. The total number of passengers reached 835,576 travelers, reflecting a 10% decline from August 2025, with arrivals down by 7% and departures by 12.5%. Additionally, there were 6,036 flights, a 9% decrease.
