Energy clarifies solar panel decision

A statement has been issued by the Ministry of Energy and Water clarifying that the decision to regulate the installation of solar panels with a capacity of less than 1.5 megawatts remains in effect until a new regulatory mechanism is issued by the Electricity Sector Regulatory Authority, in accordance with the Electricity Law. The decision did not impose additional costs on citizens, as the requirements to obtain approval from engineers and to attach the planning documents had been in place previously. The technical and administrative procedures are limited to the Ministries of Interior and Public Works.
